Education is the key that unlocks doors many at-risk youth have never been allowed to open. Too often, poverty, broken homes, and lack of guidance keep young people from believing school matters. Our program gives youth more than textbooks we give them encouragement, tutoring, and exposure to colleges so they can see a future beyond their block. Without education, cycles of poverty, crime, and hopelessness repeat. With it, they discover purpose, potential, and power. At RYM, we push youth to believe in themselves academically, and we walk with them to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Gangs promise family, protection, and fast money, but the reality is prison, violence, and death. At-risk youth are constantly pressured to join, especially when they feel abandoned or alone. RYM steps in to provide the true brotherhood, mentorship, and belonging that gangs pretend to offer. We teach conflict resolution, self worth, and the value of walking away from destructive choices. Our programs give youth a safe place to be seen, heard, and loved so they don’t have to seek validation in the streets. Avoiding gangs isn’t just about saying "no" it’s about having something better to believe in and say “yes” to, and that’s what RYM provides.

Drugs destroy more than bodies they steal dreams, futures, and entire generations. Many youth turn to substances to numb pain, escape problems, or fit in. At RYM, we help young men understand the traps behind drug use and teach them how to cope in healthier ways. We provide mentorship, safe environments, and real talks about peer pressure and temptation. We show them how to live drug free by replacing destruction with purpose and positive goals. Avoiding drugs is not just about saying “don’t” it’s about giving youth the tools and vision to live free, and that’s what RYM is all about.

Many at-risk youth never learn the basic life skills needed to succeed as adults. Without guidance, they struggle with jobs, money, communication, and everyday responsibilities. At RYM, we teach skills like budgeting, cooking, job readiness, leadership, and decision making. These are the tools that build confidence and independence. When youth master life skills, they stop being victims of their circumstances and start becoming leaders in their communities. We don’t just prepare them to survive we prepare them to thrive.

Youth are already hearing about sex on the streets, in music, and online but most of what they hear is destructive. Without real teaching, they fall into cycles of teen pregnancy, STDs, and emotional damage. At RYM, we don’t avoid the conversation we confront it head on with truth, responsibility, and respect. We teach that sex has consequences and that choices made in a moment can affect a lifetime. Our program arms youth with knowledge, not shame, and shows them how to protect their future, respect themselves, and make wiser decisions.
